Hey there! I’m Mandi, a parent, sourdough enthusiast, and the heart behind Start – Malta’s go-to source for mature sourdough starters and all things naturally fermented.

My sourdough journey began with my kids. As a parent, I know how important it is to provide nutritious food, and since children need around 130–200g of carbohydrates per day, I wanted to make sure they were getting the healthiest option possible – homemade sourdough bread, wraps, and even desserts.
